ACM India Winter School 2020-21 on NLP

The proposed school aims to create awareness among the undergraduate and postgraduate students in the area of Natural Language Processing (NLP). The school will focus on foundational knowledge in natural language processing, the current state-of the-art research challenges and opportunities and future trends. A salient aspect of this school is to emphasize hands-on sessions with suitable case studies.

Hopper India 2020

Hopper India 2020 is a two-day virtual event modeled after the popular Grace Hopper Celebration India (GHCI) conference for women in technology. This immersive event brings together women technologists at all levels from industry, academia, research and startups – to build connects, learn and advance their careers.

ACM India Student Chapter Summit

The ACM India chapters’ Summit-2019, hosted by Manipal University Jaipur's ACM Student Chapter on the 10th of August 2019 was a stunning success. The event witnessed participation of about 100 students from 48 institutions from all over India along with their faculty mentors. The event started off with the lighting of the symbolic lamp, followed by cultural performances from the University's clubs. The president of ACM India, Prof. Abhiram Ranade, professor at IIT Bombay started the presentation by highlighting the goal of ACM, the advancement of computing as a science and profession. Emphasizing the aim of ACM, he spoke about the numerous divisions and various activities of ACM. Dr. Rajveer Singh Shekhawat, the director of SCIT at MUJ spoke about the growth of MUJ ACM Students Chapter, and highlighted the various activities undertaken by the chapter, like the student teaching student mentorship program and interactive sessions, including the annual techno-cultural fest of the chapter, ELICIT.

Grace Hopper Celebration India 2019

Grace Hopper Celebration India https://ghcindia.anitab.org/ is one of the India’s largest technical conference for women in computing and technology. Its the largest gathering of women technologist in India which is organized by Anita Borg Organization https://anitab.org/. Each year similar events are organized across the globe by Anita Borg Organization with name of GHC. This conference is dedicatedly for women employees and students in technical and engineering field.
